The Wienerberger brick and clay goods factories produced bricks and exterior decorations for the buildings along the Ringstraße. Interested parties could select the desired building components and ornaments from a product catalog.On the Wienerberg in southern Vienna, thousands of men, women, and children toiled in the economically vital brickworks. The majority came from the crown lands of Bohemia and Moravia. They were therefore called the “Ziegelböhmen” (Brick Bohemians).
