Description

As part of the City of Vienna’s baby linen campaign in the 1930s, every mother received several diapers, shirts, jackets, umbilical bandages, a bath towel, a flannel blanket, and a skincare set — consisting of soap, cream, and skin powder — when a child was born. A new edition has now been created by the Wien Museum in cooperation with "Mama Matters" and "Wäscheflott."

When a baby is born, so is a mother: "Mama Matters" helps mothers to practice self-care, feel confident, and stay healthy, especially in the first few months after birth. The company develops premium-quality, natural care products for mothers in Vienna.

"Wäscheflott" has been the epitome of linen production since 1948: A traditional company that focuses on quality and personalized production and where shirts, blouses, nightwear, and work clothes are customized or made in small batches. "Wäscheflott" is one of the oldest Viennese companies specializing in this segment and producing its goods within the city of Vienna.
