This Poldi the Whale stuffed animal was created in cooperation with “Schön und gut.” The original whale sculpture from the former “Gasthaus zum Walfisch” in Vienna’s Wurstelprater is one of the largest objects in the Wien Museum’s collection. From 1951 to 2013, Poldi was mounted above the entrance to the inn’s garden. Today, he floats in the hall of the Wien Museum.
“Schön und gut” is a socioeconomic enterprise that offers people new career prospects and, thanks to its products, makes the world a little more beautiful and better. People looking for work are offered “on-the-job training” as part of temporary employment contracts.
