The Tasting Worm
Draft stopper
Description
The Tasting Worm draft stopper was created in cooperation with “Schön und gut.” “Zum schmeckenden Wurm” (“The Tasting Worm”) was first mentioned in Vienna’s oldest “Postbüchl,” or list of postal addresses, in 1701 as the name for a building linking Wollzeile 5 and Lugeck 5. A hybrid creature formed from a lindworm and a crocodile, it adorned the building and the sign of the “materials and spices shop” (with the same name) housed in said building in the 18th century.
“Schön und gut” is a socioeconomic enterprise that offers people new career prospects and, thanks to its products, makes the world a little bit better and more beautiful. People looking for work are offered “on-the-job training” as part of temporary employment contracts.
